Mar 2, 2014 · A4 (B6 Platform) Discussion - Hood stuck in closed position - 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro My hood is stuck in the closed position. The hood lever next to the drivers side seat offers resistance but the hood doesn't open which leads me to believe the cable has not snapped.

Yes it is to do with the Micro Switch,in the Locking Device,there are possible reasons for this ,one is what I have pointed out ie lots of Dirt on the Circuit Board,or can also be bad soldering come loose on the various points of the Circuit Board!

Sounded like the relay may be behind the speedo / instruments somewhere as opposed to being on the hazard switch like the B5. Recently, the "soft touch" button and the remote release on the drivers side door won't open or even audibly activate the switch. However, the remote tailgate button on the key fob still releases the latch and opens the lid when held for 2 seconds, and the old-fashioned key insert/turn/lift still works. Nov 12, 2007 · To get the bonnet open I gently removed the chrome trim around the front grille. It has clips on the inner side so gently prize the outer egde with your fingers till it all comes away. Then remove the front grille by pulling the top out. You may need to use a flat head screwdriver to help with this so use some card so as to not damage the bonnet.

Apr 11, 2011 · Try pulling the cable from behind the handle. Use vice-grips if necessary to grip the cable. It is probably one of the clips that hold the cable against the lock carrier that runs across the front. Reach through the grill upper part with a coat hanger to grab the cable and pull until it unlatches the hood. #3.
